What is Tome of Insanity?
Rich Wilde and the Tome of Insanity was released on . It's the sequel to Tome of Madness: Rich is back in a dark library, and the threat is Yog-Sothoth, a purple, many-eyed cosmic entity. Play'n GO called it one of its best releases of the year.
The base is the same 5x5 grid with cluster pays from 4 symbols and cascades. The upgrades are in the details: a four-step portal with named runes, multiplier Wilds, and a free spin that can stack up to seven portal effects. The cap also more than doubles, from 2,000x to 5,000x.

Symbols and cluster pays
The skull is the top symbol: 2x your bet for a cluster of 4, rising to 100x for 10 or more. Then come the pocket watch, the tentacle and the potion. Four gems pay between 0.1x and 6x.

Features: Wilds, the Portal and Damnation
Three Wilds
The Book Wild can trigger portal effects. The Multiplier Wild shows Rich Wilde and carries 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x in the base game and 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x in the bonus. If several land, the highest one applies. Yog-Sothoth is a 2x2 Wild that walks across the grid 3 times, and its multiplier combines with a Multiplier Wild's.
The Portal and its runes
Every winning symbol charges the portal. At 8 charges, Ruin adds 2 to 4 Book Wilds. At 16, Harvest adds 2 to 4 more, and a win with them destroys symbols at set spots around them. At 30, Abomination adds Book Wilds again, and a win with them upgrades a gem into a ritual item. At 48, you reach Damnation.
The Damnation Free Spin
Damnation is one long free spin with 3 portal effects. Every 4 extra winning symbols add another, up to 7. An effect fires whenever the cascades stop, and the round ends when all effects are used. Twelve All-Seeing Eyes sit on the grid: open them to summon Yog-Sothoth, and the 6 special eyes give him 2x, 3x or 4x.

If you prefer pyramids to tentacles, Tome of Dead plays the same way in Egypt. If all this sounds like too much, go back to Book of Dead.
