Book of Dead Demo and Free Rich Wilde Slots: Where and How to Play for Free
Every game we review has a free-play version with play money. It's the same game with the same rules. We don't embed demos on this site. Here's where to open them safely and what to watch for while you play.
Where to play the Book of Dead demo
At Play'n GO
Play'n GO, the studio behind Book of Dead, says all of its games are available in demo mode on its own website. Each game page, like the Book of Dead page, has a button to play for free. It's the most direct source: the official game, with no casino account needed.
At a licensed casino
Many casinos let you open Book of Dead in free-play mode, sometimes only after you've signed in. The advantage is that you see the exact version the casino runs, including its RTP setting. Our casino list shows the casinos we've checked.
What about other sites?
Avoid apps or downloads that claim to be "Book of Dead". There's no official app. Play'n GO games load from Play'n GO's own servers, and fake copies have circulated on unlicensed sites.
Since May 2019, casinos licensed in Great Britain must verify your age before you can play any free demo. Expect to sign in or register first. That rule doesn't apply to watching videos or screenshots.
Some data sites run a lower RTP version in their embedded demos. Open the rules screen in the demo and look for the RTP line, as explained in our RTP guide.

What a demo can and can't tell you
A demo shows you the rules, the pace and the volatility. In Book of Dead, free spins arrive about once in 170 to 200 spins on average, so a 100-spin demo session can easily show none. That's useful to know before you bet real money.
What a demo can't do is predict your results. A good demo session doesn't mean the game is "paying" today, and a bad one doesn't mean it's due. Each spin is independent in both modes.
Play money also feels different from your own. If you notice you're playing faster or longer than you planned in the demo, take that as a signal for real play. Our responsible gambling page has tools that help.
