Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter Slot Review: RTP, Features and Free Demo
Our score: 7.9/10
Quick verdict: Lost Chapter is the Book of Dead idea with a second stage. Free spins bring an expanding symbol, and Scatters inside them unlock Pyramid Spins where that symbol stays locked. Cat Wilde pays twice what Rich does in the original, and the max win doubles to 10,000x.

What is Lost Chapter?
Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter was released on . The story ties straight back to Book of Dead: Cat goes looking for a chapter missing from the Book itself. The temple is richer and darker than Rich's, in purple and gold.
The rules will feel familiar. You play 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 adjustable lines, and 3 Scatters start free spins with an expanding symbol. Then the game adds a stage the original never had: Pyramid Spins, where the expanding symbol is locked in for the whole round.

Symbols and paytable
Unlike Book of Dead, Lost Chapter has a separate Wild: a golden tablet marked W. It replaces every symbol except the Scatter and pays like the top symbol, 10,000x the line bet for five. Cat Wilde pays the same, which is 1,000x your total bet with 10 lines.
Anubis pays 2,000x the line bet for five, and the ankh and the scarab 750x. All of them pay for two in a row. The card symbols match Book of Dead's exactly.

Free spins and Pyramid Spins
Three versions of the Scatter
The Scatter is a pyramid, and it comes in three versions, one for each kind of spin. In the base game it pays on its own and 3 of them trigger free spins. In free spins it becomes a Wild Scatter that substitutes for all symbols. In Pyramid Spins it adds spins.
Free spins
Three Scatters award 8 free spins: the example on the rules screen reads "Free spin 4 of 8". A special expanding symbol is chosen at random and fills its reels when it can pay on an active line, as in Book of Dead. The rules screen doesn't say whether the symbol changes during the round. A strip of symbols above the reels and several reviews suggest it can be redrawn, so we treat that as unconfirmed.
Pyramid Spins
Land 2 to 5 Scatters during the free spins and you move into Pyramid Spins. The expanding symbol from the free spins is locked for the whole stage, and each Scatter that lands awards another spin. The rules screen example shows "Pyramid spin 3 of 7" with Cat Wilde locked in. The rules don't list a fixed number of Pyramid Spins.
RTP, volatility and max win
The top RTP is 96.20%: $96.20 back per $100 wagered, in theory, over millions of spins. Lower versions exist, so check the game's info screen.
The rules say "Win up to 500000 coins", which is 10,000x the 50-coin bet: $1,000 at $0.10 and $10,000 at $1. The route is Cat Wilde or the Wild expanded across all five reels: 10 lines × 10,000x the line bet. Volatility is high, and the 10,000x cap makes the swings bigger than in Book of Dead.
| Feature | Lost Chapter | Book of Dead |
|---|---|---|
| Top RTP | 96.20% | 96.21% |
| Max win | 10,000x | 5,000x |

Pros and cons
What we like
- 10,000x cap, double Book of Dead's
- Pyramid Spins give the free spins a second act
- Scatters become Wilds during free spins
- Rich, detailed design
What we don't
- Only 8 free spins to start
- The rules screen is vague about the expanding symbol
- High volatility with long gaps
Our verdict: is Lost Chapter worth playing?
The strongest Cat Wilde game for players who chase a big ceiling.
Lost Chapter keeps the shape of Book of Dead and adds a real second stage. When Pyramid Spins land with a premium symbol locked in, the round can climb toward the 10,000x cap in a way the original can't.
The cost is a shorter opening round and a harsher variance. If you want Cat Wilde with more variety, try Pyramids of Dead. If you want the same idea with a lower ceiling, stay with Book of Dead.
